What this means in one minute.
01We collect only what we need to do business with you.
Email, name, company, country, phone — voluntarily given when you contact us, request a quote, or place an order. We don’t buy lists, we don’t track you across the web.
02We never sell or rent your data.
Not to ad networks, not to data brokers, not to anyone. We share data only with the freight forwarders + banks needed to process your shipment, and only the fields they actually need.
03You can ask for your data back. Or deletion.
Email st@sheeltexindia.com with subject “Data request”. We respond within 30 days. GDPR, CCPA, India DPDP Act compliant.
04Cookies — minimal, no marketing trackers.
Just the WordPress + WooCommerce essentials (session, cart, language). No Facebook Pixel, no Google Ads remarketing, no third-party advertising cookies.
The data we actually collect.
The short list.
AFreight forwarders + carriers.
Shipping address, consignee name, IEC, contact for delivery coordination — DHL/FedEx for samples, container lines for FCL/LCL, your nominated CHA for CIF/DDP shipments.
BBanks.
For wire / LC processing — company name, invoice number, amount, swift codes. Standard trade-finance disclosure required by Indian banking regulation.
CIndian tax authorities (when required).
GST / IGST invoice details disclosed via the standard E-Invoicing portal for legal compliance. Only the fields the law requires.
DHosting + email platforms.
Site hosting (WP infrastructure) + business email (Google Workspace). Standard processor relationships under their respective DPAs.
NNobody else.
Not advertisers, not data brokers, not “marketing partners”, not affiliates outside the disclosed Sheeltex group. If we ever add a new processor, this page updates first.
What you can ask us to do.
Applies regardless of jurisdiction — but specifically covers GDPR (EU/UK), CCPA (California), and India’s DPDP Act.

Two specific things to call out.
iChildren.
This is a wholesale B2B site for textile buyers. Not directed at, intended for, or expected to be used by children under 16. We don’t knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe we have, write to us and we’ll delete it immediately.
iiHow long we keep your data.
Inquiry data: 24 months from last contact, then auto-deletion. Order / invoice records: 8 years (Indian tax + export retention requirement). Newsletter list: until you unsubscribe. Anonymised analytics: indefinite.
iiiInternational transfers.
Our hosting is in India. Email runs through Google Workspace (EU + USA data centres under standard contractual clauses). Freight + banking processors operate in your destination country per shipment.
ivChanges to this policy.
If we change anything material, the date at the top updates and we email everyone with an active inquiry / order at least 14 days before the change takes effect.
